Gem Mining in Asheville, NC
At the Asheville Outdoor Center. Come sit along the historic French Broad River, in Asheville, NC and mine for real fossils, minerals and semi-precious gems. Keep anything and everything that you find. We provide the mining rough (dirt and stones), the sluicing boxes to put the mining rough in and a 38' mining trough complete with 8' water wheel and water tower. All set along the beautiful banks of the French Broad River near the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.

Plan your next event at our place. The Asheville Outdoor Center boasts a 3 acre riverside park , conviently located to downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate, the airport, major shopping centers, The Blue Ridge Parkway and many other scenic areas. We are literally 10 minutes from everything, but luckily in the middle of nowhere. Come and experience it for yourself. Parties and events can reserve and rent our facilities hourly.
